AVERY WOLK WINS THE DALE LACKY SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARD

AVERY WOLK (Davis Sr.) – Avery has run for the cross country and track and field teams for four years each. In cross country, she was team MVP twice, team captain twice and she was all-state once. In track and field, she was team captain once. She’s an AP Scholar with honors; National Merit Commended Student and she won the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. She’s a member of NHS, Key Club and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She is the founder of the RunnerGirl Project, a summer running club for elementary and middle school girls. She volunteers with Special Olympics, A Change of Pace and Music from Home. Avery has a 4.47 GPA and will attend Brown University, where she will run for the track and cross country teams while majoring in neuroscience with the future goal of being a pediatric neurologist or university researcher.
