The Davis High Varsity Softball Team defeated first-place Del Oro in walk-off fashion Friday night. Davis would score on an error in the 10th inning, winning their ninth straight.

Del Oro got on the board in the first inning after scoring two runs.

A groundout RBI extended the Del Oro lead to 3-0 in the top of the third inning.

In the bottom of the third, Kayt Lebar-Triepke tripled on a fly ball to center, scoring Vicky Carlson and Addie Sinclair.

In the fifth inning, Sinclair doubled down the right field line on an 0-2 count, which helped Davis Sr. Varsity Blue Devils tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.

Layla Duarte opened the game in the circle for the Blue Devils. The starting pitcher only surrendered three runs (two earned) over five and one-third innings. Lebar-Triepke tossed four and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball for the Blue Devils in relief. The pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out two.

Lebar-Triepke, Gracie Martinez, Madison Hunter, and Sinclair each collected two hits for Davis Sr. Varsity Blue Devils. Lebar-Triepke led Davis Sr. Varsity Blue Devils with two runs batted in. Lebar-Triepke went 2-for-3 on the day.



The Blue Devils play at home on Monday against Whitney.
