In a competitive rivalry matchup, the Davis men’s basketball team fell to Jesuit 58–40 on Tuesday night. The game opened tightly, with both teams struggling to score early before Jesuit built a 5–0 lead. Davis answered behind baskets from junior Enzo Cacciatore and sophomore Rhys Crawford, including a pair of 3-pointers from Crawford, to take a 15–13 edge at the end of the first quarter.
Jesuit responded in the second quarter, briefly pulling ahead as the teams traded baskets and free throws. Junior Will Doughty shot a key 3-pointer and freshman Julian Zaragoza added a layup late to keep Davis within striking distance, trailing behind 25–23 at halftime .
Jesuit gained separation in the second half, opening the third quarter with a quick scoring run and extending its lead with strong inside play and trips to the free-throw line. Despite late 3-pointers from Crawford and Doughty, Davis could not close the gap as Jesuit secured the rivalry win 58-40.
