On Oct. 15, the Davis High School varsity womens’ water polo team took on Del Oro High School at home in the campus’ new aquatic center.

The Blue Devils have had an extremely successful season so far, with a record of 14-7-0. They are the top ranked team in the San-Joaquin Section, and ranked thirteenth in the country.

The team added to their winning streak on Wednesday’s game, with an exceptional performance against the Golden Eagles.

Davis started off strong, scoring four goals in the first quarter. They dominated the game, keeping ahead of Del Oro for the entire duration of the game.

The Blue Devils kept that momentum going in the next three quarters as well. Davis scored 13 more points in the remaining quarters, four in the second, another four in the third, and five in the final and fourth quarter.

With a final score of 15-7, Davis had a triumphant ending to the game. Three players had four goals each: junior Addie Sinclair, sophomore Hilde McConnell, and freshman Adeline Lee.

Davis had an outstanding game, doubling Del Oro’s score. The team hopes to continue this winning momentum and keep these big wins going in future games.
